With entrepreneurs and small businesses rushing to join the Online Video Revolution and get video on their websites, they often forget one key fact: You can’t add video to your website, until you have the video!

If you want to turn your website in a TV channel, here are some video production basics to get you on your way. Fortunately, with today’s easy access to video production tools, creating a great video is well within your reach.

The three stages of video production are:

o	Pre-production – Planning, writing, scheduling, location scouting and all of the preparation and details before a frame of video is ever shot.

o	Production – The actual video shoot. Depending on your needs and budget, this could be anything from a home camcorder shoot to a multi-camera Hollywood extravaganza. For this reason, it’s hard to generalize about how much a video spot will cost.

o	Post-production – While on the shoot, you may hear the common refrain, “We’ll fix it in post.” Post is where everything comes together to produce the video – editing, graphics, music, titles, voice over, special effects and, eventually, a “final cut.”

As you plan your video production, keep the following 5 steps in mind:

1.	Set clear goals

Know and communicate your marketing objective. Determine your budget and develop a plan. What do you hope to achieve with your video? Where, when and how frequently will it run? For a handy (and free) Video Planning Questionnaire, visit http://www.MuddyDogMedia.com.

2.	Determine your target audience

Who are you trying to reach, and will your message resonate with your intended audience? Is the video specifically for the web, or for broadcast television? With video for the web, you’ve got a lot more flexibility when it comes to cost and quality.

3.	Consider your content

Craft your message and determine your content. Be sure to refine your script and storyboard – a visual representation of each shot in your ad – until you’re convinced the video is ready to shoot. If you’re not a copywriter, consider hiring an ad agency or a freelance copywriter to craft your script. To locate an ad agency or a copywriter, visit adagencydirectory.com or guru.com.

4.	Plan your shoot

You’ll need to decide on the “creative” for your video production. Considerations include tone, pacing, mood, style, music, etc. Should it be humorous? Dramatic? Animated? The clearer your vision before the shoot, the better television you’ll ultimately produce. The television marketing and promotion pros at Promax.org are some of the best “promo producers” in the world. See what ad producers from NBC, Discovery, MTV, Fox and others are doing and tap into their collective knowledge.

5.	Fix it in post

Post production is “where the magic happens.” Edit the footage from your shoot, adding music, graphics, effects and finishing touches. Hire a pro editor, or do it yourself with a program as simple as Apple’s iMovie, or Adobe Premiere for the PC. Many states offer directories of local production specialists; do a Google search on “video production” or “commercial production” with your state or city.

Follow these five steps, and you’ll be on your way to producing a compelling video that can enhance your image, build your brand and boost your business!

Sidebar:

Some final video production tidbits…

o	If you do decide to go it alone, creative is still key. A good idea with lower production values is still better than a slick ad that doesn’t drive home your message.

o	New software called “Visual Communicator” from Serious Magic allows you to create pro videos with just a webcam and some pre-packaged graphics and effects.

o	Some local TV stations will provide commercial production services for an additional fee when you buy an ad schedule.

o	Think about other “venues” for your finished TV ad, such as streaming video on your website.

Many people get all wound up about creating a marketing video. The countless cheerful recommendations on the net about “keeping it real” tend to get lost in your anxiety about looking unprofessional or amateurish when you make that first video. But here’s a secret for you, in case you’ve forgotten it: You can always edit!

Editing is the best feature about video marketing. You get to have all the fun of making the video. And then you can sit there and cut out every bit you don’t like, or tighten up the “script”, if there’s a point where what you’re saying on screen seems to drag.

If you’ve forgotten something, you can insert it.

If your target market are all visual learners, you can insert second mini-videos – just drag and drop new clips into your story line – showing them examples of what you’ve just been explaining.

And if you’re demonstrating how to use a physical product – for example, your video is about wood carving – you may not even want your actual recorded sound track at all, for some sequences. You can replace those screeching truck noises from the highway and your neighbour yelling at his dog with appropriate music.

So there you are: You’ve explained how to use the wood carving tools, and now you’re going to demonstrate carving a face into your block of wood. Segue in the music, speed up the action so it’s not dragging on and on – and just show them 1 minute of you actually doing some wood carving, at your speeded-up pace.

Much more entertaining than real-time slow, methodical scraping of wood with trucks roaring by, don’t you think?

Tips for Inserting Missing Information

If you’ve forgotten to include some key point in your video, it’s easy to go back and insert it. Just shoot the “missing bit” – and drag and drop into your storyline.

If it’s something as simple as forgetting your URL at the end of the video, this is easy as pie: However, if what’s missing is you explaining a key point in your “How To” video, you’ll need to make it look as if the new section wasn’t thrown in later as an afterthought.

The first way to keep it consistent is easy: Just wear the same clothes and especially make sure your hair looks identical to the way it was in your original video. But there’s a second part to this, and people often fail to include it.

Make sure your lighting is identical. If you shot your video outdoors, it means waiting for the same sort of weather, and shooting the “fill in” segment at the same time of day. If you shot the original video indoors and there is any source of natural light coming into the room at all, the “same time of day” rule also applies – but you shouldn’t have to worry about weather (unless your video was shot on a bright day, and there’s an abnormally dark thunderstorm rolling in).

Never Forget Your Notes

This brings us to our last tip: Make notes about your video, as soon as you’ve shot it! Include things like the time of day, camera settings, lighting details.

But if you’re really not happy with that first video, and all else fails, you can always go for the ultimate “edit” of all.

You can simply re-shoot.

The most important aspect of video editing is the telling of the story. Everything that moves the story forward, makes it more interesting or enhances it dramatically are tools that every video editor should employ. If you compare the video editing process to a contractor building a house you may begin to see the relationship between the raw video footage and what the video editor brings to that footage. The raw footage can be compared to the lumber, concrete, roofing material etc.

The video editor, like the contractor, takes the various piles of materials and transforms them into a house by cutting, nailing pouring etc. That is precisely the service that the video editor performs with the raw footage from the video shoot. Video editing transforms the basic footage into a story with a beginning, middle and an end. The quality of the final product is based on the quality of the raw material, the video footage and the skill of the video editor.

The video editor has many tools in his video editing toolbox. The choices that are open to the editor depend, to a certain degree, on the video footage that he is editing. When there is a dialogue sequence, it is important that you hear clearly what the participants are saying, so naturally it would not be wise to lay music with lyrics under the sequence. Music is a tool that the editor can employ, but it is important that the editor use the right editing tool depending on the sequence that he, or she, is editing. It is almost if the medical credo should apply to video editing, i.e., first do no harm.

With that thought in mind, it is the duty of the video editor to use only the tools at his disposal that enhance and move the story forward. Editing video requires the talent to recognize the things that are important to the story, combined with the common sense to know which of the tools at the editor’s disposal to use in a given situation. Straight cuts, dissolves, or other video transitions, music, moves, blowups and color changes are just some of the video tools available to the movie editor while in the video editing process. The wise use of these tools at the correct time separate the amateur from the professional video editor.

Once you begin to look at your video footage as part of a story and treat the material as if you were a master story teller, your video editing will step up to the next level. The theory behind video editing is quite simple, first do no harm and second use only the tools that enhance and move the story forward.

Editing video requires the talent to recognize the things that are important to the story, combined with the common sense to know which of the tools at the editor’s disposal to use in a given situation.
lication can be difficult to put in place so that you can start operating them. The reason for that is they require a lot of bandwidth for them to operate effectively. There are many environmental obstacles (industrial and germane) that the radios that transmit the data within the wireless network come face to face with. There are two factors to take in to consideration when you want to combine the two environmental obstacles and these are limitations and capabilities. In an industrial environment they are a few components that are needed to create a network and these are video technology, radio technology and wireless video technology.

Under water video camera has different applications. There are different thing that one can do with the camera firstly you can take pictures of the fish at the bottom of the ocean and other sea life that you can find down there and you can place the camera at the bottom of the pool as well and then watch them later. It will be like the Olympic camera which shows the under side of the swimmers who will be competing. You can also place the camera in an aquarium and see the fish from another perspective the perspective of a marine biologist. When you go fishing use the camera to view the quantity of fish that is underneath the water. The video camera can be connected to portable monitor, LC, TVs and camcorder.

There are many video applications that people use on a daily basis but sometimes were not even aware that it is a video application. One of those is video editing. This type of application deals with as the name says the editing of videos. You can edit a video on the computer. You will be altering the sequence of the video. JPEG is the simplest from in which a video is stored in the directory. You can view the directory n and the screen shows one big image. The application enables you to edit audio clips in the video but I would call it more like sync the audio clips with the videos.

You can add transitions and special effects by decreasing the quality of the image. You can create web video, video pod cast, Mobile phone video and DVD by encoding the video. There are few companies that started this type of application and these are Sony Vegas, adobe premiere and pinnacle systems just to mention a few. These companies lead the way when it comes to the way videos are edited. These companies have programs of the applications that are named after the name of the company itself. These programs sometimes use custom hardware for video editing.

A DVDx is a video encoding application. The application enables you to convert a DVD video into windows media video, AV1 and VCD2.0. There are many video applications that one has at his or her disposal. Video editing is only a tip of the ice berg when it comes to video applications. Before you go out to the video application it is best to first look at the various software that is being offered online for video applications. When you Google the key words you will get links straight to some of the sites that deal with such applications there are different things that you have to look at when your comparing the video application software that is available online firstly it is the developer or the software and most of the time it is either apple, avid or adobe. When the software was released is a crucial bit of information as you know that technology is ever going forward. Software is constantly being improved so you have to look for the software with the latest date of release, some of the makers of the software will place two dates of the software and those two dates simply mean the first time it was released and the release date of the latest version of the software. You have to know the product that you want to buy. The best way to get to know about the product is to research on it and read the reviews and articles that have been written about the product. The price of the software is what most of us would check first before everything else. There are a lot of software makers of video applications so I would think it is best for you to stick to the maker that you usually use especially if you have never had any problems with thee products of that manufacturer.

With computers it is always best to know your computer its requirements .you have to check if your computer and the application will be compatible or not and you can get all this information from reviews.

Applications that you can find in the software are for social networking sites so that you can use them for streamlining your video into the sites. The different software that you will find is made for three groups of people and these are consumers, companies and professionals and these three groups are spilt into two economic groups the expensive and cheap. The interface between the user and the software is good as the software is easy to use. The number of video application software that is out there is amazing and sometimes it can be mind boggling what people do with all of these applications but the truth of the matter is that some of the applications that are available are used by professionals for example when it comes to video editing .
lication can be difficult to put in place so that you can start operating them.

These kind of applications are left to the guys who work in Hollywood. The applications cut across many section of industry from television to internet and not forgetting communications in industrial areas.
