How do you convert standard video to high definition video?

I am recording some gameplay from my xbox and running it through a Dazzle to my computer. Unfortunately I can only record while playing in standard mode and not HD. The quality is then not as good and it can be hard to see some of the detail (text). So what is the best way to convert this standard video into HD and still have the file size relatively small?

How can i convert my video files from my nokia n95 (mp4) to use on sony picture package to make a music video?

I have tried downloading all different converting programs so i can convert my mp4 files from my nokia n95 to avi files to use on sony picture package to make a music video – but none of them seem to be working – or they have the trial watermark down the middle?! I would like something free and easy!!! Please help!

What is a good program that merges video clips into one big video?

I’m looking for a program that joins video clips into one big video. It has to be freeware and you don’t have to register or buy it. I want the full program. I am using windows xp and windows movie maker is slow and it crashes.

How long does it take a video to process? Why can,t I do other things while the video is processing?

My video has been processing now for 9 hours, still not done.If I try to do other things while the video is processing, it says encoding failed, Why?

How do I shorten a video time code without dropping data?

I’m trying to increase a video’s fps rate (and in turn increase the speed at which the video plays) for a science experiment involving the human eye and its capacity to interpret information.
However, I cannot figure out how to increase a video’s fps rate or speed without it either keeping the same time code or dropping frames.
Both of these outcomes ruin the point of the experiment.
