How to get a vivitar camera video onto windows movie maker?

it won’t work. no matter what I do the file won’t be uploaded to the movie maker program whenever I try to compress it to a zip, it doesnt work it says its not compatable, and same with other ways I try to get the video onto the movie maker program. and when I plug in my camera and turn it on and press capture from video device it says it was not detected. WHY WON’T IT WORK?

How do i record video and sound when guitar hooked up to my computer with my camera?

I have a toneport gx guitar port/program on my computer so i want to keep the guitar sound i have in my program instead of using and amp to record a video. So how do i shoot myself playing the song when the sound comes from the computer. Is there any way i can hook up the sound from my computer directly to my camera?

I have a Sony 8mm camcorder with RCA jacks only.
I have a firewire connection on my sound card and several USB ports of course. Is there some economical device that would allow me to transfer video and sound from the camcorder to my PC?

I am looking into buying a video camera but I don’t know much about what makes a camera great and special from a similar camera. I know about the different resolutions and the progressive and interlaced options. But, aside from that I’m kinda in the dark. I want to know what the best camera is for the money regardless of what I’ll be using it for.
