May I use my camcorder to video tape the liftoff and touchdown from inside a commercial flight?

I know that they ask you to turn all of your electronics of during takeoff and touchdown but I saw YouTube videos where people still do it and any way what harm can a camcorder do? I mean I don’t fly everyday and that would be nice to video tape those moments.

So do you think it’s OK to do it?
Thanks.
Even just pointing the small camera towards the windows is illegal?
