How do I drag video in Windows Movie Maker?

I’m running Windows Movie Maker 6.0, and when I drag video into the timeline, it automatically starts at the beginning, or where the previous video left off. I can’t seem to change this. I want to be able to drag my video to any point in the timeline so that I can get my video clips where I want them to be. Is there any way to do this? I thought it let you do this in previous versions, but now I’m not sure.
