Video Integration – Maximize Your Video Marketing Efforts
Have you created your videos yet? Unfortunately, that is where most people stop. They make a really neat video that takes them hours to record so that it is just right. The video gets uploaded to YouTube, and… Then, what? What do you do with your video after it has been uploaded? Is there a systematic approach to getting the most exposure, and sales, using video? Well, let’s explore this possibility.
Video marketing for today’s network marketer is like netting for a fisherman. A fisherman without proper netting will either have a hard time catching anything, or will have to catch one fish at a time, instead of the thousands that could have been caught with a net. Well, video marketing, when used properly, can really take your marketing to a whole new level. It is fair to assume that within the next year or two, an internet marketing campaign which does not include video will be dead before it even begins. How do you maximize your video marketing efforts then?
Video Integration using social media is the answer to this dilemma. There is a simple, but powerful, systematic method which can catapult your video marketing to success! There are a couple of requirements before getting started, though. You will need to have a blog in place. This can be a free or self-hosted blog as long as it allows you to embed videos. You will also need a YouTube or Viddler account, and a TubeMogul and/or Traffic Geyser account.
The first thing you will do, after your video has been edited (Windows Movie Maker or I-Movie work really well and they come included with your computer) is to upload it onto YouTube or Viddler. Both these sites are extremely viral, and get indexed by Google and other search engines. But, the most important thing about this site, as far as we are concerned right now, is that they will give you an embed code for your video. Make sure to copy and paste that video onto a notepad or word document.
With your embed code at hand, log into your blog’s dashboard. Create a new post which begins with a short description of what the video provides. Use the paragraph as a teaser to get people interested in watching the video! Add the embed code for your video, and then close your post with an even shorter paragraph which includes a “call to action.” Just a quick technical note. If you are using a WordPress blog, you need to remove the last “” tag on the embed code, otherwise you’ll get an error message.
Next step, use Ping.fm and TweetDeck to blast an announcement to all your social media accounts about the new blog post you have just published! Needless to say, the link you will include in these blasts will be the link to your new blog post, NOT your sales page. Your blog should have both an opt-in box and a way to connect with your sales page. Make sure to ping your post with social bookmarking sites.
Lastly, use services like TubeMogul and Traffic Geyser to blast your video across the net. TubeMogul is free to join and offers a video sharing service that works quickly and efficiently. As for Traffic Geyser, it is a paid service, but the return on that investment is huge. Not only do you get great exposure for your video, but they provide outstanding tutorials and training.
Once all of this is done, you can relax knowing that the time you spent creating your video did not go to waste! Consistent action following this systematic approach to video integration will maximize your video marketing efforts. Don’t wait any more. Just go for it!
