YouTube Video Secrets Revealed
Content remains king in the search engine algorithms; however, more and more search engine users are turning to video for news, entertainment, and even to get information about product or services. Not only is video a useful tool for appealing to customers, video is also growing in favor with search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. If you aren’t using video as part of your site promotion strategy, here’s what you need to know.
o You can use video to display your products or services, provide examples of what you do or how something works, or educate viewers about you or your business. Your video can be as simple as you talking into a web cam, or as elaborate as a television commercial. You can also use programs like Camtasia to create videos that record what is on your computer monitor, such as a PowerPoint presentation or software demonstration.
o Your video should entertain while it informs. A boring sales pitch will not help you promote your product or service. If you can’t keep the viewers attention by providing interesting or entertaining information, they will not keep watching.
o Display your website name frequently throughout the video. You don’t want to distract viewers from your message, but make sure that they will remember where to find you if they want more information. At the very least, list your address at the end of the video.
o Use keywords to describe your video. Do not neglect this important step. YouTube and many other video websites provide you with a place to describe your clip. Use your keywords in any written description, and incorporate your keywords as tags for the video.
