How do I upload the video from my jvc video camera?

I have a jvc gr-d250us and a firewire cable, I would like to upload the video but I can’t figure out how.
I bought this camera from ebay and don’t have the cd

Assuming that you have a firewire port on your PC, and that you have a firewire cable with the correct connectors – connect the camcorder to the PC, and turn on the camcorder; then you can import/download the video from the camcorder by running the video editing program (it should be on the CD that was included with your camcorder). Good luck.

You don’t need the CD.

Just incase…
Try these. They are the 2 drivers needed for JVC camcorders…

Windows Movie Maker will work.

All you need is a Firewire cable, XP will recognize it. Pinnacle 10 or Ulead Meadia studio 7.0 will do for editing and stuff. They are better than Windows Media Movie Maker.
