what other video editing program that can work on.flv and making sure that the video is in good condition?

I’ve been having a hard time with sony vegas because some of my videos doesn’t properly on it. I wanted to use those videos but whenever I import the video, the quality is ruined. I couldn’t even see the video because of the errors.
