How to capture a video through a webcam or an inbuild camera in Laptop?

Hey guys just wondering that if any1 could help me out. I wanted to post a video of myself on my self-built website. I have an in built camerain my laptop . I just know how to capture images but not to take videos can any1 tell me the perfect steps?
