How do you record a video with good sound using a webcam?

Im using CyberLink YouCam and I am trying to record a video of me singing a karaoke song. The sound is coming out of my surround sound and the tv speakers and sounds great, but on the video, the sound is awful, it sounds like its going in and out and its very choppy and it sounds like im humming more than singing. How do I fix this?
