What video player can play all or most video files?
I want to find one that will play all or close to all the video’s that I want to play. Any help would be grateful. Thank you.

I used to be partial to Video Lan’s VLC player. But I have to say I have better luck with Hai Hai Soft’s Universal Player.

It isn’t the player, it is the codecs that let you play videos. Without these, your video files are just wasted space on your hard drive.
Get the CCCP, which contain a majority of codecs that are used for today’s video files.
I would try to avoid any other codec packs, because they have bugy files, the CCCP will check your system for current codecs and any that are incompatible will be disabled.

Go to this website, and download the Windows Essencials Codec Pack. This will give you the primary codec FFDShow which decodes many different codecs. It also offers a player called Media Player Classic which can play 99% of all videos. It works well and I recommend it. It is also free. Give it a try because all computers should have this codec anyway.
Good luck.

Your best bet would be DivX. I haven’t had any problems with it. the cool thing about it that once you download it the codecs are read on Windows Media Player so you can watch your movies on there or just use DivX Player. Here’s a link for it thank you.
