What video camcorder can capture still images while taking motion video?
I am looking for a video that will allow you to picutre someone but still tape them. I am planning on attending a wedding and want to take the occasion but still take pictures without having to stop recording and switch to another option so I can take still images. Is this type of video camcorder exists?

They exist, but I can’t think of any off the top of my head. Most camcorder stills aren’t that great – why not put the camcorder on a tripod and take the stills with a stills camera?

The only device I can think of with this capability at the moment is the Canon EOS 5DMk2, which is a stills camera with a video function rather than a video camera with a stills function.
The rebel t1i (or 500d) may allow the same function but I couldn’t say off the top of my head.

I don’t think that the camera exists. If it does, either the video or the photo will suffer. The closest I’ve seen is a still camera that will record video and when you hit the button to record a still, the video will stop for the photo function to take the picture.
The Canon 5D Mark II has Full HD Video Capture at 1920×1080 resolution and manual exposure control capability.
But, because it is basically a still camera, you would need a video support set-up or a tripod to keep it steady.
You could also pull a still frame from the video with editing software, but the image would only be 2 megapixels.
