What do i need to transfer analog video on to my computer?
I have an analog video camera and would like to transfer the videos on to my computer. My laptop has an S-Video Port which can connect to my camera AND i can capture video through NERO. It’s not working, what else am i missing here?
I looked at Video Capture cards, but most of them just have an S-Video port on them, which i already have..
Please help!

Try looking into dazzle video products. very straight forward stuff. if the problem is the video program it’s possible you are not selecting your capture device so it doesn’t know what to record from. Try some other video recording programs.

The S-video port on many laptops and PC is an OUTPUT port for video. You can not feed video signal to that port.
To capture video, you need to feed your analog video signal to an INPUT port. That is what video capture cards have, the INPUT port to receive video signal. Get a video capture card.

I swear by EasyCap as a solution. It takes composite and S-Video Inputs. I have yet to see a PC come built with a Video input so that’s what I use for my Video Displays at live events. It Is possible to get Video cards that do it but for cheapness and simplicity EasyCap.
