What causes video to stop then start when watching on line?

Everything else works fine it`s just the video part that I`m having trouble with. When I`m watching video it stops likes it`s reloading and it keeps happening through out the video.

Usually that’d be the buffer.. Adding more RAM or freeing up the RAM you have will fix that.

Uhhh…I **** it when that happens!!!!
Its the buffering. COuld be Internet speed and the amount of people “hitting” the video as well.

The video is getting played before it is completely downloaded. What is happening, the player will play what has been buffered (downloaded) to the computer. Since the download is probably slower than playing it, the player will stop until more of the video is downloaded from the internet.

Upgrading the internet connection will resolve this problem.

buffering, because think of the movie as a gallon of water(apparently a very entertaining gallon of water)

and your internet connection is a pipe, now a fast internet connection is a 9 inch in diameter pipe, the water drains fast, now if you have a slow internet connection, then your pipe is a 5 mm straw, and if the movie is 10 min long it would take 20 min to load, thus you have to stop because your viewing it faster than you recieve it, ram could be a problem but with ram and computers today i doubt it, get a faster connection
