How do I upload videos from my video camera into my computer?

2
I really want to upload some videos onto Youtube, except I do not have a digital video camera. Is there any way to upload videos onto your computer with a video camera that uses film?

You need to make sure that you have a firewire port on your computer. Then you need a firewire cable. These are available at Best Buy and other electronic stores. Price ranges from the 20$-30’s. Then when you get it, you need to plug it in to your PC. A window should pop up asking if you want to import video from the camera. They will ask you if you want to import the whole tape or just parts of it. Then your video will play on a screen that says “start importing.” Then when you want to stop importing your video, it will be saved to a folder and ready to edit. Hope this helps and good luck!

I ventured a guess… ur vcam is V-8 analog, coz u mentioned it’s not a digital.
If V8, Hi-8, VHS: analog video have to be converted to digital prior to uploading to a pc. try this: (DIY) …
Or Pinnacle, KWord video capture card

If u wish to move further into video editing:
entry-level Movie Maker* (free w/ Vista/wmm6 & XP/wmm2) is simple & easy to learn. Upgrade to intermediate (or advanced) video editing apps accdg. to need & skill level…

video editing process- Vista/Wmm6
>>> open wmm- start/all programs/wmm->TASK pane
1. Import video, pics, music, etc.
2. Edit- drag/drop video files->timeline & enhance w/effects, transition, music & titles
3. Publish (render)- save Movie (OK for youTube), also, save Project.msmmw file
>>> Share=>auto-shifts to WindowsDvD authoring app->burn to DvD
